I’ve been in the UK for five days now; not quite sure where the time has gone but it’s been lovely to catch up with family.
I’m not exactly jet-lagged, but my body clock is slightly out of sync with local life. It’s seven o’clock on a Sunday night and I really just want to go to sleep.
I’ve got so many potential posts buzzing around in my head, but for now all I can manage is some photos. So far my rooms have been in loft conversions; deliciously comfortable, well-done conversions. So here are the views from my windows this last week.
I enjoyed the old architecture. Do hope that you build lasting memories.

Thanks; I spent some time yesterday exploring villages where various ancestors lived – quite moving and very memorable!

You haven’t picked a good week weather wise! Unless it’s very different in your neck of the UK, it’s been raining most of the last five days, the week before that it was blazing hot sunshine! ๐

Thanks; I’m looking at blue sky behind the Forth Bridge this morning, and I’ve generally had a mix of sunshine and showers – within Mounties of each other. It’s like being in Auckland, but colder.

Oh not too bad then! This weeks been a bit of a shock to the system considering it’s been so warm lately then all of a sudden a big dip in temperature… nice sunshine and blue skies this morning though! ๐ Hope you enjoy the rest of your visit with family ๐

True; it is a bit nippy. Not good for wandering around graveyards, which always seem to be in exposed, windy places. Still, found a few members of the family so it’s worth the risk of hypothermia. ๐
