Trees and water: nature through my lens

This week a contrast. Above, nature as I often experience it; a reflection or a glimpse mediated through my very urban existence. Below, nature with all its noise and fury.

Trees and water; the same but oh so different.

This post was written for Sally’s Phoneography and Non-SLR Digital Photo Challenge. Like Sally, I’ve been away from home. Not for long, just a solo road trip to visit my father. My few days were filled with contemplation and reunion; new vistas and almost total independence from others. A wonderful experience, but it’s nice to be home.

Here are some other posts on the theme that I’ve enjoyed:

  2. Su, you’re posting early this week. 🙂 It sounds like you had a great time with your dad. What a blessing! I like both your photos, but that first one really catches my eye. Of course I’d like to see the second!

    • Hi Janet. I had a great time; and yes, Huka Falls is an easy to reach tourist destination, with lots of other cool stuff nearby. Am crazy busy this week trying to schedule blog posts and work, but will email you soon about your plans for your NZ trip. 🙂
