I usually think of silhouette images as being created by relatively bright light behind the subject, yet in these two shots, theΒ  light was minimal and diffuse – a misty winter morning.

The two shots below, by contrast, were taken at particularly intense sunrise and sunset.

      • Hey Su .. everything is going well. Lots of things to do at work .. a never ending learning process .. learning by doing πŸ˜‰ But I’m happy with the new job.
Hope all is well in Auckland and that the days are getting warmer and spring is not far away. Summer is nearly over on this site of the world but we still have temperatures about 20Β°. So hopefully it will be a nice and sunny autuumn πŸ™‚

      • Hi Anja. I’m glad that your job is interesting and going well. Things are pretty good here. It still feels like winter, but not so cold as a few weeks ago. Only two months until the sculpture exhibition I’m involved in organising and things are crazy busy. When it is all over I think I will find a little house at a quiet beach and hibernate for a while. πŸ™‚

  1. Beautiful contribution to the theme. Takes a steady hand to grab the silhouette that well in the low light conditions. Well-done. The mood is perfect with the horses and the mist and tinge of colour. I can still feel the dew on my feet and the sand in my eyes as I look into that picture.

Thanks for including my post in your list.

    • Thank you; that’s a lovely thing to say. And you’re welcome; I really like your photography — and I just have to try the scallops and sorrel butter recipe. It looks wonderful πŸ™‚

    • Thank you Juliette. I enjoyed meeting you; and loved watching you engage with the children. It was great to see their enthusiasm and passion — and how much many of them managed to achieve in the time. Thanks again, Su.
