Oh M-R; I wish I had your faith. For the last four years the tree has produced lots of wonderful blossom and nada fruit. Perhaps I need to reach a zen-like state of accepting blossom as the end, not the means to an end (and keep buying oranges).
Herbs are my thing — and courgettes. But I think you actually have to consciously kill courgettes, otherwise they grow anyway. Another courgette fritter anyone?
Wow, to pick fresh sun warm oranges would be incredible π
As for the courgettes….the frost will kill mine off soon, but for now those fritters are still on the menu….frequently! I bought a spiralizer last month and am now addicted to courgette noodles….so yummy, and healthy π
I’ll let you know if my oranges ever eventuate. I do manage lemons, mandarins and grapefruit though, so I’m not complaining. A spiralizer is a great idea; I’ve been looking for one ever since I found a recipe for courgette noodles with pesto (note to self: plant more basil). Now if only I could organise to grow pine nuts. π
Yeah….pine nuts are tricky!
I grew rows of basil under my greenhouse tomatoes this year….and its still going strong! Just a word of caution…..spiralisers are very addictive….just so much fun!!
Don’t see how anything as lovely as this can fail you ! π

My basil never seems to do that well; but the tomatoes around it are wonderful. I’m wondering if it’s a bit of a trade-off? π
