Video shot and edited by Su Leslie, 2014.
As NZ Sculpture OnShore was closing up last night, I shot a little bit of video of Auckland artist Marylene Jackson’s wonderful installation “… and the dance goes on.” Marlyne makes wonderful chandeliers from found objects. At the exhibtion, they are hung in trees. I found the sight of one of her works blowing in the wind totally hypnotic.
Love the music to go with the dancing lights. π

Thanks Raewyn. I’m so glad I shot that yesterday; today we’ve had to take most of the chandeliers down because it’s so windy. π¦

Enjoyed the dance; how was it with candles lit? Hope that you were able to see them at night.

Thanks Sally. The piece was outdoors, on a fairly windy cliff-top so we didn’t light the candles. I guess a buyer might hang it in a patio area or similar and be able to enjoy the flickering light.
