If you’re mistaking me for a cricket fan … Big mistake. I’m profoundly disinterested in the game and am probably the only person either side of the ditch who has no idea what the score is right now, or even if they are still playing. For me this weekend was about our self-serving, jobs-for-the-boys government getting a bloody nose at yesterday’s Northland by-election. Job done! Today I’ve spent trying to avoid the political in-fighting that is dogging my beloved sculpture exhibition. So may it be a game of two halves (or 50 overs), and May sport be the winner on the day (night).
We finally got some rain today – I was at a school fair with my parents all day which wasn’t pleasant when it rained. Then the sun came out which was worse – very hot and humid. Gorgeous photo.
It’s years since I’ve been to a school fair. I used to love them; especially the book stalls. I’m hoping the rain here is finished; we’re getting some concreting done over the next few days.

We desperately needed the rain. Just not this morning. It was a good fair, just not good for Dad – he only sold 2 toys.
