As part of my depression self-help programme I’m trying to consciously enjoy the fleeting and ephemeral instead of just fearing their loss. I’m also dancing like there’s no-one watching (albeit because I make sure there IS no-one watching). Here’s what I’m dancing to today.

    • I love that scene in “Love Actually” where Hugh Grant is dancing around 10 Downing Street to the Pointer Sisters “JUMP” (neat movie but HG as Prime Minister … I think not). Anyway he gets sprung by the maid and looks suitably sheepish. I’d a) love to a) have No. 10 to myself to dance around and b) would prefer to be sprung by someone cleaning my house than by my son who just rolls his eyes at me. 🙂

      • Definitely dancing around No 10 with the sound just blasting – brilliant – and I have to agree with you, Hugh, as gorgeous as he is (especially since he’s reworked that whole floppy hair thing) Prime Minister he was NOT although he did make for fabulous eye candy in that movie (one of my favs). As for dancing in public my son has begun to use my own reverse psychology on me ie if he doesn’t react he thinks eventually I’ll tire of dancing and crawl back into my box when we’re out. Curse those children for growing up! Fortunately his younger sister is still MORTIFIED if I only BEGIN to sway when we’re out so at least I still have a few good years in THAT one, lol! 😉

      • Hehe. It’s not so long ago the boy-child would have danced with me. But I guess that’s the price of having him grow up.

You’ve got me thinking about the eye candy in Love Actually. Isn’t there an abundance? Colin Firth, Liam Neeson and Andrew Lincoln have to be my favs, though I’ve also had a thing for Alan Rickman since “Truly, Madly, Deeply.” Sigh! Well, off to find the disco soundtrack for my day. Cheers, Su.
