I’m getting the hang of this domestic goddess lark. Have spent the last few days making pickled onions and more sourdough bread. Now we just have to dust off the Big T’s cheese-making kit and we’ll be on the way to a decent home-made ploughman’s lunch.

  1. That loaf is an absolute triumph, Su. As to places to settle we have chums in Wanaka, having retired from working at Dunedin Uni. They’ve been there a couple of decades, building a house on land they bought. Nigel (Zega) a journalist writes, reviews on various things in the local press. They love it there.

    • I’m embarrased to say I just looked up Surinam on a map. To my credit, I did vaguely know it was in South America (or is it considered central America). But I didn’t know about the Dutch connection. If we get the B&B going, you’ll have to come visit. ๐Ÿ™‚
