Plum blossom. Photos: Su Leslie, 2015
Our plum trees are in blossom, and of course I’m hopeful of fruit in the months to come. But past experience has been disappointing, so maybe I should just appreciate the flowers. Which in a roundabout sort of way reminded me of this song.
I had a squash?, pumpkin? (can’t remember which) plant one year that produced amazing vines and gorgeous flowers, but nothing else. Well worth it anyway. I enjoyed the beauty.

I love your blossom shots – the yellow stands out beautifully. Good luck with the fruit.

Thanks Debbie. I’m going to call in at the garden centre and ask them about caring for the trees.

I think I was a goat or something in a past life. I just feel like eating these. The yellow looks like candy! Very pretty shots and well even if they wouldn’t grow plums.. such a delight for now. Thanks for sharing them!

Haha. I know what you mean though. They would be great as marzipan decorations on a cake.
