It really was very festive. There was music, some cool activities for kids, and some really good street food. Made my shopping trip into town much more enjoyable. Happy Christmas.
I think I would struggle with the idea of a hot Christmas Su! Mind you, the way things are going in the UK, that may be a reality soon, it’s 14C here today! Lol!! If I don’t speak to you over the next week, I hope you and all your family have a wonderful Christmas 🙂
Thanks Andy. My cousin in Kirkcaldy was saying the weather has been a bit mild! I love the whole traditional Christmas thing, and really enjoyed doing the big festive thing when we lived in England in the 90s. Here, most of the traditions I associate with Christmas (huge Xmas dinner being the main one) doesn’t make sense. Cooking and eating turkey and ham in 90% humidity is madness (I have done it once). This year I’m letting a Vietnamese restaurant take the strain and going out for lunch! All the best for a great Christmas to you and yours. 🙂
Thank you Su 🙂 And I hope that you and all your family have a wonderful Christmas!
That makes sense to go to something like a Vietnamese Restaurant for Xmas Day, I know I certainly wouldn’t be able to cope with a full Christmas dinner in that heat and humidity!!
Having grown up in tropical Panama, hot Christmases feel very right and perfect to me. There was nothing like being away a college in the snowy eastern US and then spending my entire Christmas vacation in a bathing suit. It was always a time of sun, fun, and reunion with all my buddies.
My mum (raised in Scotland) never got used to summertime Christmas, and used to get really down, but it’s “normal” for me. Having said that, I really did enjoy the Christmases we spent living in England. I can see how when it’s cold, indoorsy weather, eating rich food makes more sense.
Such a lovely and festive atmosphere in both shots, dear Su!Lovely decorations and litle nice details.Hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas,my friend!Sending you Love and Peace from this end 🙂 ❤ xxx
So do I!!! I was trying to learn the language earlier in the year, but work and life got in the way. Perhaps next year. All the best to you my friend. xx

That’s why I used him – we are expecting 82*F for Christmas. I don’t get to use him too often.

Latest forecast for Auckland is rain and 20*C (68*F). So at least not unbearably humid.

Christmas trees and people relaxing on deckchairs in the sunshine! I could get used to that. Happy Christmas!
