Silent Sunday

    • Thanks Andy. I think we’ve been really lucky to miss the worst of the bad weather. We passed lots of cars with trailers loaded with holiday stuff — it seems the weather shortened lots of people’s camping holidays.

      • It’s a shame when peoples holidays get ruined because of the weather, it happens quite a lot in Cornwall – I’m always amazed at how many people think that Cornwall is always sunny and dry – it’s surrounded by sea and sticks out into the Atlantic, it’s the wettest place in the southern half of the UK! Lol!

      • The only time I’ve been to Cornwall it rained constantly and was so windy I saw a lot of stuff only thought the misted windscreen and side windows of the car. Although it’s summer here, it is quite usual for big storms to come through around Christmas/New Year. Sadly, that’s often the only time people can take a holiday.

      • Lol!!! About Cornwall and its weather, although when its not raining, I think its one of the best places on the planet! 🙂
It’s sad that it is so often the way, that the only time people can have holidays is often not the best time to them 😦
I would be in my element though, I love big storms 🙂

    • Thanks Meg. We stopped at a few beaches on the way to New Plymouth; places we’ve always just driven past before but were able to take the time to explore and enjoy. It’s such a beautiful part of the country.
