What an awesome shot, totally love the b/w, makes it somehow feel like a lush hotel room in the fifties or sixties and Jackie Kennedy or Marilyn Monroe are going to walk in any second π Amazing how it can look tidy and neat although the bed is unmade… π YouΒ΄re a genius! π
Thank you soooo much Sarah. I’m glad you got that feel from the shot. The apartment was in an Art Deco building and all the furniture was really comfortable “shabby chic” and a bit dated, so it was easy to get that kind of slighty out-of-time feeling.
Aww – I just love Art Deco! And Art Nouveaux! Or let’s just say: art in general π hehe!
This definitely explains that out-of-time feeling π Even if I misjudged it about 3 or 4 decades π
Me too. And I wouldn’t say you misjudged the era. The furnishings were pretty eclectic, and not uniformly of any particular period. The detailing on the building was pretty wonderful however. Sadly, I didn’t really photograph that π¦
Nice light….

Lovely light! And something so soothing about an unmade bed. Makes me want to crawl in with a good book.

Thank you. I know what you mean. I’ve been very happy snuggled up here the last couple of days.

I love the soft, inviting feel of this photo.
… but I can’t help but wonder though, how does your hotel room manage to stay so neat? Our’s always manage to look like a bomb went off π

Hehe. Two things: I’m here alone (and we know how OCD I am), and my stuff is out of shot π

That would have been my next question if you’ve made some pics from the building itself π Ah, well, maybe another time π
