๐ He’s actually allergic to cats — something we didn’t realise until after we got two kittens. He’s put up with itchy eyes and a runny nose for 16 years so that he could cuddle the fur babies.
Sounds like my brother. He is also allergic, but by the time his symptoms appeared at about age 10, we had three cats (and a dog). The doc said to get rid of them. My mother said, “And what’s the next option?” Needless to say, we kept them all.
Hey su – I enjoyed the part 2 to this- and as you can tell _ i am getting caught upon blog visits tonight….
anyhow, did I read correctly – you were able to have cats with allergies. that is pretty cool – well you know what I mean.
my son wants a cat so much and my hubs is slightly allergic – and now I am thinking we could maybe try. my son has one more year with us before college and I also have wanted a cat – so hmmmmm – now I am thinking ๐
I think if we had known how hard it would be for the boy-child, we probably wouldn’t have got the cats. But he was really little and enjoyed having them in his life, so… it’s a tough one.
yes – and another example of how we make decisions in real time and then things unfold – we played Lacrosse two years too many and I would have done a couple things different – but can;t say things would have turned out better had I done those – so we know – wise to have clarity as we look back but also have comfort in knowing we make those real-time decisions and they were what is… ๐
What a sweet young boy. How old was he then, Su, about 8 years old?
