Regular Random: five minutes with the first figs of the harvest

I got back from my road-trip to find some our figs had ripened.

Lucky for me this was only a five-minute shoot — figs for breakfast.

Five Minutes of Random (the RegularRandom challenge) is hosted by Desley Jane at Musings of a Frequently Flying Scientist.

  1. Mmh, yummy! Lovely pictures, Su! I love figs! Used to pick them in Spain at the beach where they´re often planted beside beach restaurants. There´s nothing better than picking fruit from a tree and it right there and then 😀 xxxxx

    • I had to Google Fig Newton! We don’t have them here and although I’d heard people on TV shows talking about them, I wasn’t sure I actually knew what they are. I quite like dried figs, but really prefer fresh. They are horrendously expensive here, so if I couldn’t grow them, I’d probably eat a whole lot less.
