The water is so smooth! I grew up near the confluence of the Snake and Columbia Rivers. They are very wide. We often water-skied etc. Anytime the water was this smooth we would say that it was “like glass”. That’s what you wanted, water that was like glass.
Oh, nice!

Boy that marina looks really full. Do many people stay on their boast over winter?

I guess some people do live on their boats, but so many people here own recreational boats that the marinas are pretty full of unoccupied boats too.

In spite of the severe winters, some people actually live on their boats here.

Brrr. I had friends in England who lived on a canal boat. It always seemed to be cold, even in summer.

I would think it would be rather cold there too.

Yes, and the boat was hard to heat, so it always felt damp and uncomfortable.

I think that it would really be pushing your luck.

Now I want to get back on the water – and I’ve only been off of it for a few days!

It was gorgeous. We even walked by the “boats for sale” moorings and contemplated a life on the water.

It’s certainly been ideal water-skiing conditions here the last couple of days. Not something I’ve ever tried, but it looks amazing.
