  1. What a great response, Su. πŸ™‚ Those red peppers spell danger for me, that’s for sure!! I always think the reason people who wear garlic around their necks don’t get sick is that no one gets close enough to share germs!!

    • Hehe. Thanks Janet. I love garlic too much to just hang it around my neck!!! And the chillis were really hot. I obviously didn’t take proper note of the variety when I was planting them because I expected something much milder. πŸ™‚

      • They grow really well in my garden. I guess they probably like warmer climates, as they are still growing now, well into autumn. I have a bumper harvest, but they are so hot I’m not sure what to do with them. Maybe sauce? Hope you are feeling better. πŸ™‚ xxxxxx

      • I love the taste of chillies but have to really careful with them, if I overdo it and eat them daily IΒ΄m in for an inflamed stomach lining 😦
        Once a week is fine though, but not too hot πŸ˜‰ I keep them in my freezer – that way they stay fresh and are easy to dose when cut still frozen. Happy sauce-making! πŸ™‚ xxxxxxx

        I was going to make the sauce yesterday, but got a bit sidetracked making pumpkin soup. Today definitely for sauce!

      • Ah, the Essex boy himself. The Big T likes his recipes (though I notice he doesn’t actually make many of them). I find the quantities a bit odd and am more a Rick Stein fan.

      • He was originally known as a seafood chef; he has a restaurant in Padstow, in Cornwall. These days he seems to be endlessly on TV doing shows from India, Spain, the Middle East, etc. I have a couple of his books and find the recipes reliable and quite easy to make. Let me know if you try any of his dishes. πŸ™‚ xxxx
