Yikes! If I saw this statue coming around a corner, I would definitely scream a little! 😉 Looks kind of creepy to me, but very interesting nevertheless.

Interestingly, we did approach it from around a corner. That was probably deliberate to create extra drama around the work.

The plan was to do some travelling, but also use it as a weekend base when/if we are building a house and need to be onsite for days at a time. We also figured it would make good overflow guest accommodation.
But it’s a bit academic because we didn’t win the auction. We will keep looking though and hopefully find one before too long. 🙂

I read the artist’s statement, and it’s based on a doll, rather than a baby. I’m not sure if that makes it easier to understand … or not.
