Oh bubble wrap! I love bubble wrap. And I don’t love it – sometimes, when my boys are jumping on it with tons of force, making a lot of noise. But it is impossible to resist. Even if I just feel the texture and squeeze a bubble without popping it, I can’t leave it alone. ๐
Thanks Anabel. I managed to use up a bit of my stash having a clean out. I think the original intention was to give/throw away stuff we don’t use, but quite a lot has ended up in the in-laws big shed.
Youยดre so right – itยดs just impossible to resist! I have to sometimes though, when I need to transport some of my ceramics, but you can bet that as soon the transport is finished the bubbles quickly follow ๐ Itยดs weird, the soon you ask the question, I thought instantly that the b/w would bring out its texture more clearly but to my surprise I think the color brings it actually out more.
P.S. I feel a bit like Marlon Brando in The Godfather now, but I have an offer that I hope is just as irresistable as the bubble wrap ๐ : Iยดm sure you remember those handmade cards that a WP friend send me some time ago and that I wrote about? Well, the idea has haunted me ever since that I actually want to do this myself though with the restriction that I would like to send these cards only to people I consider my friends… And you are definitely one of them!! ๐ So, if youยดre interested in receiving some real snail mail from me, just send me an email with your address and the card will be on its way! (You can find my email address on my about-page.) ๐ โค xxxxxxxx
Love to pop it! And I have rather a lot of it as I saved it after moving house!! But I am refusing to be tempted. I prefer the colour version as I love the golden specks of light you have captured.
It looks like someone had a go at it…..chuckle.

Hmm, I found it more textural and tactile in color, more abstract and two dimensional in black and white.

Thanks for that Amy. I think it’s more tactile in colour, maybe because it seems softer?

I think in black and white it looks so abstract that it loses the 3D appearance.

I’m the same. I was sure if I posted the photo, people would really relate to the whole tactile experience of the stuff.

Like it best in black and white. Like Jo, I have a stash of the stuff – hate throwing it away. You never know when it might come in handy!

Totally irresistible offer. And you have reminded me that I was similarly moved by the cards, so I think it is a wonderful idea and I’m honoured. ๐

Thanks; I like that version too, though I really expected the b&w to capture texture better.
