The sun’s flirtation seems to have ended, and it’s cold again and very windy.
A good day to light some candles, make a coffee and read my book.

How sweet. I have a similar one somewhere. Probably still hiding in a trunk. Wild and windy here also Su. Book also calling…

π Janet’s having a book day too. I love the idea of bloggers around the world curled up reading our miserable weather away.

I didn’t get to the book. Instead I read a couple of gardening magazines and redesigned my garden plans. Again.

Guess you’ve got a few months to refine the plan (a few times) π

I love the colors! And the whole idea of lighting a candle and reading a book.

Thanks Amy. I love the soft lighting of candles and lamps — though I was relying on slightly more powerful light sources to read by π

So pretty, Su. I love that it’s a little city and not simply glorious colors, although those would have been fine, too. Although we had a bit of sunshine right after sunrise, it’s now cloudy and windy, the perfect day for a book and tea. So I’ll join you.

That’s what I loved about it too Janet. The shop had a few different designs and I dithered over which to buy — finally settling on that one and another with orange and red flowers.
It’s another gloomy day here too, but I can’t put off my chores any longer, so reading will have to wait. Enjoy your tea and book.

I’m glad to hear you’re getting some nice weather. It is a pretty bowl. The design is painted on, and with the light inside has such a beautiful glow.

Such a beautiful candle holder! Is it wax upon glass? I had a similar one once π

Thank you. The design is painted on. I bought a couple and they are quite pretty without a light inside, but adding the candle really makes the colours glow. In the shop, they were lit with little LEDs, and I found a few strips of battery-powered LED lights to try out too. π

It is so warm and cosy, that makes me feel like I am having a cup of tea, and enjoying the sun rays. Gorgeous choice, Su.

Sounds good to me!
Is this a glass for a tea candle? or a candle in itself? It’s beautiful!

It’s designed for candles. I also found a strip of LED lights (battery powered) that fits in to the bowl and that looks good too. π
