no I can’t claim home-grown. Although all the local north shore strawberry gardens have been buried under “development” there are still some in west Auckland. 😃
Agreed. We seem to have a very long strawberry season, but they always taste best in the first few weeks. I don’t know if that’s a psychological thing about not having tasted them for a while, or if the later cropping fruit just isn’t as nice. Either way, I’m making the most of them now.
Nothing more required; nothing better. Are they from your garden?

Fresh strawberries – very little in the world tastes so good. But we’re a long way from having those for ourselves!

Please do – and I’ll be jealous of their deliciousness as I wait for their return here!

I found the first pomegranates in the vege shop yesterday too, so I’m now officially in fruit heaven.

I agree—they stand alone without any need for whipped cream or sugar. Enjoy!
