I have just started reading Juliet Batten’s latest Memoir. She and her then partner decided to buy a bach rather than a house because a bach was more affordable than a house in the 60s. What a brilliant move that was. She still has the bach.
I expect it is; the land anyway! As she says, in her separation settlement she got the bach and her husband got the vehicle , and although that was a fairly equal deal at one time, the years have been kinder to the bach!
π Beautiful!
Have a very HAPPY week π

π I was thinking about you as we drove down the Miranda coast. We took T’s mountain bike with us and he did manage a few rides.

Beautifully serene. I love sea vistas.

Me too. It’s a shame that living along NZ’s coastline has been so priced out of ordinary people’s expectations.

And it is probably “worth” squillions. We were amazed and appalled at the asking price of very modest baches on the Coromandel. π

Yes, and the other day I was reminded via radio that parliamentarians and teachers were once on the same salary level.
