“Just picked.”
Not literally, but I have just returned from my morning walk, and am still downloading the photos I took.
I’ve cropped it slightly, but it’s otherwise un-edited and pretty much fresh from the camera.
I know it’s still Thursday for most of you, but here’s wishing you all a happy Friday, and a lovely weekend.
And a happy Friday for you, Su!

It’s 25 degrees (Fahrenheit) here today, and I am aching for spring before winter has officially begun. Seeing this flower gives me a feeling of hope!

I had to do a F to Celsius conversion, and now I’m thinking brrrr; that’s a mid-winter-in-the-South-Island sort of temperature.
I’ll try and post lots of warm images in the next few weeks π

LOVE agapanthus flowers. Hoping to get one or two myself next year.

You probably know this, having visited, but we have a real love-hate relationship with agapanthus. On one hand, they are an invasive weed, but on the other, they are so damn lovely. Councils have all this stuff on their websites about how people shouldn’t plant them, and then you find them all over Council reserves and roadsides.
As you can tell, I love them too. π

I’d welcome it as a weed in my garden!

Me too. I’m seriously thinking of planting some.

Go on, be a rebel π
Why are they considered invasive?

ππ they choke out native species. Our indigenous flora and fauna evolved in such isolation that they don’t cope well with exotic species.
