“Sweet as” is a slang term in New Zealand for something that’s really pretty good.

I think my breakfast qualifies. I baked the bread, and made the jam from plums grown in our garden. And even if it wasn’t yummy (it was), I think I’d still get a “sweet as” for effort.

  1. Kudos for homemade. I’ve made bread, but never jam. (Always just a bit afraid of boiling glass in water, plus, until recently, I had no garden to grow anything.) I wonder how long it would take to grow a plum tree?

  3. Wonderful! It really can’t get any better than that! Oh, wait maybe it could if you were to bake your own croissants!! 😊 I’ve heard that’s possible and I always want to but in the end never do because it really is intense. xxxxxxx
