DP Photo Challenge: rise/set

Photographers love the ‘golden hour’ whether it’s in the morning or evening.

I’m a morning person, so I’d expected to have more sunrise shots in my archive. Surprisingly, that’s not the case.

What I did find though, is that my morning shots tend to have fewer traces of humanity in them — whether people themselves, or our planet-covering artifacts.

  3. I so much love sunrises but here in the city you can’t really watch it and so it’s not worth getting up early for it. 😉 The first pic looks like God or nature of whoever had a Van Gogh like moment, pouring out this golden orange yellow in drips across the sky and water…

    • I know what you mean. We get great sunsets here, but there are so many houses around it’s hard to enjoy them. On the other hand, I could walk down to the Barbour for better views; it’s not far, but I never seem to get round to it.
