It’s a gorgeous place. T remembers it from his childhood, but it was my first visit. Not another soul around. They were probably settled in with tea and a good book while we were exploring.
Mist or fog along the beach in the morning is a favorite shot — when i can get to the water that early. Around here, it tends to lift as soon as the sun is up, but for about half an hour, it’s quite mystical.
😀 I love that time too. this was taken mid-afternoon though; we’ve had constant rain the last few days, and the low cloud is lovely — if a bit annoying for sightseeing.
Thanks Amanda. I haven’t been to the South Island often, but the Big T spent lots of childhood holidays there, so we had a great time visiting places he remembers. I am in awe of the amazing landscapes and how few people are around. My kind of place!!!
