🙂 I was going to do a whole bunch of shots but the glazier took the broken bits away this morning. Which is good in that it will be properly disposed of. And not so good because I was looking forward to playing with the stuff.
yes, but at least you grabbed some nice pics before it was hauled off.
And as I looked at the most recent image I was reminded of technology and how they make tempered or this specialty glass with layers – hm
and still surprised that this is not “uncommon”
Thank you Yvette. 🙂
I’m surprised too. But the glazier confirmed it this morning. In fact, he made it sound like it was quite common and an increasing problem. Scary!
Good morning, Su! I am amazed by how much beauty can be found in the midst of a negative event. It really speaks to your perspective in life. This is what I will think on for the rest of the day ….
Would not wish exploding shower glass on anyone, but this is a very enigmatic, and therefore rather wonderful ‘found’ objet. I think it’s a talisman. Ju-Lyn is right.
Looks like an abstract ice sculpture to me! (The ice bit is extra appealing to me now! 😂 Can you believe that my ice cubes only needed about two minutes to melt?! This hot weather’s so unusual in this time of year.)
who knew a shower door could provide so many interesting and artsy images.

yes- I wonder if it is the whole “make it to fail” quality we see in other products – who knows.

I hope not!!! There would be a whole lot of lawsuits if that were the case.

They do look like a piece of art, Su, you could almost frame it.

It’s very cool – even if it came from something you wish wouldn’t have happened.

Or more cubes! 😂 xxxxx

Yeah, I guess more cubes would cool the water enough to mean they all took longer to melt.

I just read somewhere about a glass-topped table spontaneously shattering too. Scary!

At least you got an interesting image out of that experience. As my grandmother would say, from bad comes good.

We’re using a lot of towels to catch the splashes! But actually it’s working ok — at least for a few days.
