It’s dark in the mornings, and cold. But the hibiscus doesn’t seem to mind. We have more flowers now than I can ever remember.

What a dreamy plant. I’d forgotten I used to live with hibiscus in the garden – Nairobi that is.

😀 The plant was here when we bought the house, and I’ve only really begun to appreciate it in the last couple of years. Probably because it’s never flowered much, and is right in the middle of the front boundary.

I always love a dying flower picture like this – they’re still beautiful, even as they reach the end of their short lives.

I agree; I almost prefer hibiscus and roses in the dying stages.

I’ve learned to love them. So much that I’d like another plant in a different colour — perhaps crimson.

I just bought some summer bulbs – one box has 40 bulbs in pink and the other box has 40 bulbs in purple. I hope to plant them today.

Our climate is so mild that winter is sometimes better for flowering plants because it’s not too hot and there is lots of rain.

This flower seems to be expressing its feelings. Beautiful.
