Funnily enough, I have been thinking how much I am looking forward to including a few walks along Papamoa Beach in our busy 2 weeks back in NZ. We may not have the depth of history though we do have amazing beaches 🙂

Lovely—what are they?

They’re called Ram’s Horns and they are internal buoyancy thingys for tiny squid. You’ll note my rigorous use of scientific terminology here 😂😂

LOL! Right up my alley! I have a plant in my garden that I refer to as purple spiky thing!

I must be greedy when it comes to shells – at least for seeing them, if not collecting them. I wonder how they all got together like that?

I was fascinated by the way they’d got caught there. I’ve never seen it before, and the little Ram’s Horn shells are really common on our west coast beaches.

A sort of photo meditation, Su. The tiny shell collection in a shell. Also a true lesson for living – more beautiful if they are few. I must go tell my wardrobe contents!

Tish always leaves you smiling! 🙂 🙂 And I do have a small collection on a windowsill in the Algarve.

That is very true!! I can’t help myself when it comes to collecting shells, even though, deep down, I know they will never look as lovely at home as they do on the beach.
