I love street performers. Late May to early June 2018 I did a series of video blogs from a Key West, Fl trip I went on. In one if those blogs, I think titled ” Key West Trip Day 3 or 4?” I posted a bunch of short videos of street performers in Key West. You might enjoy them.

Thanks for that Garry. I love street performance too. I have such admiration for their courage in fronting up to such diverse audiences. ๐

Isnโt it gorgeous! Iโve been meaning to post photos from that exhibition for months. ๐

Absolutely! I could never have worn it (even when slim I didnโt have a waist) but would love to see someone else in it. Anyone, just to see it move and swirl.

Iโm the same ๐ My mum had a few dresses in that style that I just loved.

I love the Dior display too. Where has style gone?

Iโm not sure I ever had any, but I know what you mean. My mother and her sisters/friends always looked so elegant when they went out.

There was a time when we took more care about what we wore. I find the clothes today are expensive, crappy, poorly made and the design is most unbecoming.

I tend to agree. Even very expensive clothes seem to be poorly made these days. Iโm thinking of dusting my sewing machine off and making some summer dresses ๐

I went into to one of our high end stores, Su to check out where their stuff was coming from, predominantly, it was China. It was much better made than your usual stuff. But $500.00 for a scarf $900. for a blouse I would want it to either come from Paris or one of our Canadian couturiers.

I love the shot of the dresses, partly for the dresses and partly for the way the color arrangement makes it feel as though part of the photo is B&W and part color. Chopping wood while standing on it???? Crazy or courageous, but you’d best be quite good!!

The dresses were wonderful. Iโm very pragmatic in my clothing choices and not much into glamour, but I loved the Dior collection โ especially the earlier dresses, like these.
Wood-chopping is quite a popular sport here. You donโt hear about accidents, so maybe itโs easier than it looks ๐ค

A great triple threesome! And I have to say, I’ve never seen wood chopping quite like that before!

๐ I love watching wood-chopping, though my favourite is where they have to take the top of an upright pole (about 3m high), by cutting a notch in the side and putting a planks in the notch to stand on. They do this about three times and end up a couple of metres off the ground. It’s so cool to watch!

I thought the wood chopper on the left had a cigarette in his mouth but I think it is a chip of wood flying near his face. It’s a wonder the men don’t have to wear safety googles!
A great threesome x 3. By the way, I am sure you could make some lovely, stylish summer dresses.

Youโre right, though Iโd assumed a cigarette too. Which is a bit silly on my part, as I was there!!
I am thinking about getting the sewing machine out and making some summer clothes. Itโs been a while since Iโve been very happy with the results of my dress-making, but Iโm certainly not loving anything Iโve seen in the shops so far.

Isnโt is so beautiful. Iโve never really been that into fashion, but the vintage Dior was just amazing. And as for the wood-choppers, I watch purely to admire their technique ๐๐ xxxxxx

for me, thatโs a major stretch of the imagination. ๐๐ xxxxxxx
I think these days my dream would be to wear my own design (preferably made by someone who can actually put a zip in evenly or make neat buttonholes)
