Perhaps it will become popular again.
I was thinking much the same. I did think of it when I was pregnant, but I was absolutely sure I was having a boy ( despite the ultrasound technician saying otherwise) 😀

Sigh of contentment – I do love purple flowers. And this iris has so much character … the interesting folding patterns are so mysterious!

My mum was called Iris so I have a soft spot for them. I think it is a lovely name, but not common nowadays.

Strange how some flower names have revived – Poppy, Daisy, Lily, but not so many Irises. And yet I think that is the most elegant name.

Thanks. I was really taken with it. It so much more vibrant and patterned than the kind I’m used to seeing in florist shops.
