There is a tide in the affairs of men, Which taken at the flood, leads on to fortune. Omitted, all the voyage of their life is bound in shallows and in miseries. On such a full sea are we now afloat. And we must take the current when it serves, or lose our ventures. — William Shakespeare, (Julius Caesar)

A full sea and a full sky, it seems. A great photo series. Do you use the ferry services?

Not often. There is a ferry from Hobsonville Point, but only Monday-Friday during peak hours, and it would take me longer to drive to Devonport than to get to the city. I did think yesterday though, that I would quite like a ferry ride — just for fun.

Great photos and quote, Su! I used the same quote in the chapter of my story, when I described my voyage over the Atlantic Ocean. Have a great day!

Wonderful quote (and images to go with it)—one I do not recall despite having read Julius Caesar years ago. Thanks, Su!

I knew the quote, but had to check the source. For some reason I thought it might have been from one of the Henry’s.

Some serious weather coming through Su. That Shakespeare really knew how to tell it the way it is.

WOW, so much nature, such heavy skies, and honestly, the best shots always involve WATER, the sea, a lake, a river, a pond…. marvellous!

Thank you. I agree with you about water; especially in sunset/sunrise shots 😀

The last line reminded me of a Taoist verse that said
Thus an army without flexibility never wins a battle.
A tree that is unbending is easily broken.
The hard and strong will fall.
The soft and weak will overcome.
