Fabulous architecture and a wonderfully illustrative photo, Su. Love it! Auckland got a mention on our local noon news today. Lovely New Year celebration!

That looks like a new structure since we lived just down the road from Devonport in 1998

It’s on Queens Wharf, right next to the ferry terminal in Downtown. It was built as the “fanzone” for the Rugby World Cup and is now used for the Art Fair and other events.

Have got very behind with comments. Got some sort of stomach bug and have been feeling really wiped out. Better this evening thankfully ๐

Oh, poor you! But Iยดm glad youยดre feeling a bit better already. Do you have some ginger at hand? I find that ginger tea helps a lot in settling down an upset stomach. Take care! Hugs! xxx

Thanks: Iโve had a few pots of ginger tea, and poached some fruit in ginger last night. I actually bought a ginger plant the other day โ and also turmeric and galangal plants. Am hoping I can keep them alive and have lots of fresh spices ๐ xxxx

That sounds perfect! I tried growing a plant from the roots several times but sadly it never worked. That’s to say it developed some shoots but stopped growing after some time and shrivelled no matter how much I watered the plant. Please take some pics of your new plants, I’d love to see them! ๐ xxx

I will. I thought about trying to grow from a root, but I believe that our ginger, etc is all imported and irradiated so would probably not grow ๐ xx
