That is tragic — and seems so unnecessary in this day and age. My mother (who live in England) recently told me a homeless women she’d befriended had died of cold at Christmas. Mum is understandably very upset and angry too.
I agree Su, there is no excuse for this. When you have the top CEO’s taking home (I won’t say earning) billions and they won’t pay they workers a living wage, this is major contributing factor.
Well, this is a bit tragic, it’s freezing here and I didn’t get at first why on earth you’d post fans: until it occurred to me that not everyone lives in the same climate as I. Duh. I love the concept of your photos here! Even if it’s making me cold.
Maybe this could help with the noise: I’ve read somewhere that lining one side of the blades with felt (I think it was the back but I’m not sure) reduces the noise.
What’s the temperature? 30 over here….😅

I’d give you the heat — but you’d have to take the humidity as well.

Um, no thanks!

Wow–I love how you did this! Sorry for the heat. It is very cold here in sunny Florida.

Thanks. I’m being dumb, but I never think of Florida as getting cold.

I live in the NW part of Florida (the Panhandle), so we get hot and cold. The hot is too humid and the cold is to darn….cold!

Thanks for that; I just looked it up on a map. The coastline looks incredibly beautiful. Guess you get hurricanes too though?

It is very pretty here, but hurricane season runs June 1-Nov 30. Six out of 12 months. And I chose to move here. What….??!!

I think you have gathered that there is a lot of us who wouldn’t mind sharing that heat!! Great set of ‘Warhol’ images 🙂

I’ll trade. I look great in coats and hats. As a melting blob — not so much.

Not sure any of us are improved by being a sweaty blob!

If I could, I would send you some of our snow for you to cool off, Su!

That would be very welcome Peter. Shame it’s not all that practical 🙂

I’m glad it’s warm somewhere in the world. It’s cold and nasty here.

I’m sorry to hear that Leslie. If it gets much more humid here, I will happily trade with you 🙂

Our summers are usually quite hot and humid too, Su. I would prefer that any day to the cold….

I’m the exact opposite — though to be fair, we don’t get extreme cold.
LikeLiked by 1 person
It is the extreme cold that is objectionable, Su. Some of our homeless are freezing to death.
