Almost the end of the harvest. The first tree fruited just after Christmas. The second, more prolific, has been giving us fruit for the last couple of weeks. 😀
They call them the Christmas Plums, usually smaller. The tastiest ones are the Black Doris plums. Love homemade jams and chutneys. We used to do it when living on our small orchard. Gave away more than we ate 🙂
I know that feeling. No matter how I think I’ll scale the recipe back, I still end up with soooo much jam/chutney, etc. and now I don’t have the old networks of neighbours and school contacts, fewer people to give it to. 🤨

Yes, we don’t have the same networks now. Nor the families that would eat the stuff, all got older like us and eat less of it. Or forget its there 🙂
