I’m told there are quite a few in NZ too, but I haven’t seen that many. I love the location of this one.

The Little Free Library movement is global I think. I didn’t realise that until recently 😀

Aren’t they brilliant. A friend who recently travelled around New Zealand got all gopher reading material that way. She borrowed from one little library, and returned her book to the next one.

I just love these tiny libraries! They are popping up in front of houses all around me–and I must say, I love the effort to make the world a kinder, more interesting place.

I wish I had room for one at my apartment block or could find one nearby. Instead, I just leave my redundant books at bus stops. They always go.

That’s an excellent idea; a nice surprise for travellers.
According to the little free library website, there is a library on Mandalay Av in Khandallah, and one in Linden; probably not quite on the doorstep!!
I wonder how many of these pop-up libraries are actually registered with the Little Free Library movement? A friend of mine used one on Great Barrier, and it doesn’t show up on the website map.
