It was a very long drive home yesterday , and I’ve still to download most of my photos. But agapanthus are everywhere at the moment, so this shot could represent any roadside, park, or garden I’ve seen over the last few days.

I wish I were there Su. If you could see the snow and feel the cold you’d wonder how anything grow here.

I was just reading about the horrendous weather affecting Canada and the US. I can’t imagine such conditions. Thinking of you and hoping you are warm and safe.

We are warm and safe Su. It’s suppose to moderate this weekend. It’s already -13’C. and that’s a darned site better than -20’C.

That’s good news Leslie. Hope you don’t get those horribly low temperatures again.

I am in the same boat or better same sled as Leslie above. I wished I was in your country and could enjoy the sight of those beautiful wild flowers. Great photo, Su!

Agapanthus are such survivors. I remember seeing them all along the motorway

Are they considered invasive there too?

LOL not that I know of. In fact, they are put in landscape plans by professional landscapers!

So nice to see flowers that make me think of warm weather. As you know, it’s been quite frigid here, but tomorrow we’re looking at balmy temperatures in the mid-twenties (Fahrenheit, of course.) Ahhh, it will be lovely. 🙂

You should be forbidden to show such glory when the Canadians and Americans are deep-frozen…. 🙂 🙂 🙂
No, seriously, you are probably one of the very few who can magic a smile on those poor cold people’s face! Thank You for that; and yes, agapanthus are always a crowd pleaser… Plus, they only grow where THEY want…. Which says something about them too, doesn’t it?! They make for such lovely dreamy shots

Hehe. I feel kind of the same way when people post gorgeous shots of frosted plants and snowy walks while we are melting in the sauna that is an Auckland summer. 😂😂
I agree with you about agapanthus. We’re supposed to reject them as invasive — but they are so damn pretty.

Su, it’s single digits this morning, but the temps will jump upward 20 degrees in next few days. Thanks for the uplift with a flower that reminds me of summer gardening.

Beautiful! And so nice to look at when you’re freezing! I swear my toes and hands resist all my attempts to warm them up today! 😂

Oh no!! I remember that feeling from living in the UK. I used to wonder if I’d ever be warm again.
