Looks different to mine, but I suppose there are many varieties like there are with Basil. Love the meaning and I am happy to see that mine is starting to grow already 🙂

They look different to others I’ve seen too, and I did start to wonder if it was oregano!! But I checked with the local garden centre and you’re right; there are lots of varieties. Does it grow well in your garden? Ours goes mental. I’d have to open a pizza restaurant to use it all 😂

I grow mine in a pot but it has self-seeded everywhere. I love the flowers though and actually use very little of it in cooking. As you say, far too much!

I don’t use much in cooking either because I’m not a great fan of tomato sauces, and while oregano is great with lamb — I don’t really eat that either. Guess I’m growing it for the bees (and T’s pizzas).

I love growing herbs simply for their flowers and smell and the bees love them. I am happy just to rub leaves or have a nibble whilst pottering.
