Four large trailer-loads of prunings later, I can see the fence again.
Bit of a contrast to this morning ….

An excellent day’s work – you’ve given the trees their architecture back.

Finally. We started the pruning process before New Year, but kept finding more and more work that needed doing.

So true. T did actually threaten to lock up the chainsaw after one of my particularly busy walk-rounds with the can of pink โcondemnedโ spray paint.

Great job, Su! Where did all the branches go? Do you have a community burn pile. Here in Fauquier we can dump all burnable material onto a designated area and the local fire department burns it down once a year in the fall. Have a great Sunday!

Thanks Peter. We have an informal burn pile at a family property in the countryside.

We had to do that with our rear fence. It isn’t beautiful, but it will grow back. The bush — forsythia (who knew they could grow that BIG) — was easily 15 feet high and about 10 feet deep.
