Never too cold for icecream

I’m on a bit of a nostalgia ride at the moment — remembering family holidays especially.

In 2006 a conference the Big T had to attend took us all to Paris in early March. It was bitterly cold (particularly as we’d come from a very hot Auckland summer), but someone suggested to the boy-child he try ice-cream from Berthillion … and you know how it is, who could let a few (very few) degrees come between a boy and a sweet icy confection.

From memory the flavours were chocolate and blood orange.

  1. ha ha….. I wondered about the same thing when I lived in England…. The English seem to be able to eat ice cream in EVERY and ANY weather, a thing of no interest to me when it’s cold and icy! But hey, kids don’t know that ice cream isn’t for winter months….. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  2. Before lactose intolerance changed my life, I could eat ice cream all year round. I remember standing outside a famous homemade ice cream place in the winter, waiting for almost an hour!

  3. Such a sweet photo (pun totally intended ๐Ÿ˜‰)! My cousins are just the same – it could be minus 10degrees and they would still eat icecream – even outside!! Me not so much, I’m more of a hot chocolate person in winter. ๐Ÿ˜‰
