When I was a teenager I had a purple wall in my bedroom and later on had a lovely purple velvet jacket which was my favourite jacket of all time! I now have a purple fleece jacket so I can annoy people taking landscape photos. (there is always someone in a red fleece whenever I take them π )
Pretty flower and perfectly captured.
My teenage bedroom was acid green and tangerine π¬ but I had a fab βpower suitβ in the late 80s of purple linen π
I seem to get people with big sun hats in my shots.
Fab!
I think we had basic Magnolia (or wallpaper π) through the house. Thinking back, Iβm surprised I was allowed to choose a colour scheme for my room at all.
I read that poem aloud at an event recently. I have had purple garments at different times on throughout my life but canβt think of any now. Never a red hat though.
Iβve just gone back and read it again (I borrowed the quote in a hurry). It something we should all say out loud sometimes.
My wardrobeβs a bit purple-depleted too right now. That might change π but probably no red hat!
One Christmas, when I was still relatively young and brave (very), I was sewing myself a shocking purple jumpsuit and a ‘serpent’ which I stuffed slightly to hang around my neck, and I showed up with my very young son and husband and dog for the family Xmas party…. They are STILL TALKING about it…. I also had purple hats but then, some years later, I swore NEVER to take to purple again – which, again a few years later – I broke – I have now 1 purple dress and ‘half-matching’ long jacket, purple espadrilles and have no longer a problem with the colour. Sometimes I feel that The Worse I Feel, the more colourful I NEED to dress to dispel any thought of me being not my usual upbeat but purple doesn’t have an influence any more. Now it’s green tones because of spring….. π
Hey! Iβve always loved purple. Oh. π

… it’s just a very cool colour π Many years ago I had an aubergine leather couch. I LOVED it. It’s a great colour to work with.

Love it Su. I still remember this dress I had as a young girl and it was a lovely light purple.

I had yellow to contrast with my purple. A HUGE change from the Dawn Pink my mother insisted my bedrooms were painted π

π Mine had to stamp her presence on every space we ever occupied β a lot of which were rentals. She hasnβt changed really.
