  1. When I was a teenager I had a purple wall in my bedroom and later on had a lovely purple velvet jacket which was my favourite jacket of all time! I now have a purple fleece jacket so I can annoy people taking landscape photos. (there is always someone in a red fleece whenever I take them πŸ˜‰ )
    Pretty flower and perfectly captured.

    • I’ve just gone back and read it again (I borrowed the quote in a hurry). It something we should all say out loud sometimes.
My wardrobe’s a bit purple-depleted too right now. That might change πŸ˜€ but probably no red hat!

  2. One Christmas, when I was still relatively young and brave (very), I was sewing myself a shocking purple jumpsuit and a ‘serpent’ which I stuffed slightly to hang around my neck, and I showed up with my very young son and husband and dog for the family Xmas party…. They are STILL TALKING about it…. I also had purple hats but then, some years later, I swore NEVER to take to purple again – which, again a few years later – I broke – I have now 1 purple dress and ‘half-matching’ long jacket, purple espadrilles and have no longer a problem with the colour. Sometimes I feel that The Worse I Feel, the more colourful I NEED to dress to dispel any thought of me being not my usual upbeat but purple doesn’t have an influence any more. Now it’s green tones because of spring….. πŸ™‚
