It is for me too. I really hate when food is just dumped on a plate. I figure if someone has gone to the trouble to cook, itβs worth a. It of effort to make it look appetising on the plate.
I agree. I have a pretty bowl I like to use for my homemade granola with yogurt. It makes me even happier than just the yogurt and granola on their own. π Your bowl is lovely.
I love the almond yogurt, but will have to give coconut a try. I’m not a big fan of coconut, but I did once have “ice cream” made from coconut milk and loved it.
I havenβt had almond yogurt. We donβt seem to get it here, though we do get almond milk, so I guess I could try making it. Coconut yogurt is like the icecream , but obviously more tangy.
Hehe. I don’t think even the most beautiful dish, or artful swirl of balsamic reduction and truffle crumb (or whatever) can compensate for something that doesn’t taste good. Or as my mum says, it’s all “fur coat and no knickers.” π
I so agree–presentation is everything. Well, it’s a lot…..

Actually it was pretty yummy. Iβm not normally a cereal fan, but the granola recipe is really good.

That is a beautiful bowl – it frames the layers of your granola & yogurt so prettily!

Thank you. It reminded my of the Big bowl my mum used to make trifle in, and how much I enjoyed seeing the different layers.

Ah! the days of Trifle! My mom used to make trifle too! Now I have a yearning to go hunt down that trifle bowl and make me some.

Thanks Janet. My granola was homemade too β with buckwheat and fresh grated ginger as well as nuts and oats. Iβm a total granola convert.

Not a fan of raspberries and I can’t eat yogurt. But change it to strawberries and almost yogurt, and I am right there.

It is indeed true that it is all about plating that makes food all that more delish!

Of course taste is important too. π I always insist it’s even more important when my presentation lacks finesse. π
