Bees are amazing to watch, especially when they’re hovering. Somehow In this shot I managed to capture the wings looking motionless.
My running just to stand still is never so elegant.

It’s funny that you picked a moment of motionless; I try to get those shots where the wings look like chopper blades…. 🙂 🙂 I’m already glad and happy to SEE bees; we’ve had a few so far but the cold spell must have thrown a spanner in the wheel (well, that’s a great comparison, isn’t it?!) 😉

I was about to go to bed last night when the BBC started showing a near silent film taken from a sea eagle’s back as it hovered over moorland around a Scottish sea loch. I felt part hypnotised, part rapturous, part giddy and your picture recreates the feeling.
