They were on a shelf in my friendβs art studio. An early project I think. After I photographed this, it occurred to me that it would be cool to take a pair of shoes and transform them like this β not so much to wear but as a piece of art.
Really awesome! Imagine people being so dazzled by the shoes that they wouldn’t notice how bad you’re dancing – can I have those? π And the idea of making some art project is very appealing to me – hope you’ll find a pair you can transform. π
Hehe. I love the idea that if my shoes are dazzling enough people won’t notice I can’t dance. Though they would have to be pretty spectacular.
I did find some shoes to transform — one pair with a cross-strap that look a bit like dancing shoes, and some ankle boots. Total investment $8 (plus beads and paint and stuff). I’m itching to get started on them, but forcing myself to finish some other projects first. π xxx
Add a stunning dress as well, and I bet we’re on the safe side from unwanted attention to our dancing skills. π
Awesome! Really look forward what you will do with the shoes! I’ve found a couple of old red leather dancing shoes as well, flat-heeled though, that I once bought on a car-boot sale in England for one pound. Back then I thought I might take dancing lessons at uni but then opted for improv theater. Still pondering if I should do something with them, or just wear them. π xxxx
Wear them. You can never go wrong with red shoes π
I have just retrieved this comment (along with some others of yours) from the Spam folder. Grrrrr. I hate when that happens because I’m usually really useless at even remembering that I have a spam folder.
I think your stun-them-with-the-shoes-and-dress idea is genius. Probably the only thing that could save me on a dance-floor. π
Well, I have to admit, those ARE marvelous. π

Don’t worry – I seem to get lost a lot in the Spam folders these days, don’t know why because I didn’t even used links. π
