My friend Sarah at Art Expedition is hosting 30 Days, 30 Songs to share her music during June. I’m already a bit late to the party, but will join in when I can during the month.
This morning I walked down to Greenhithe wharf to watch the morning mist roll away up the harbour. The tide was full, and apart from a lone fisherman, the wharf was deserted.
I’d already chosen a song to post today, but (cliche though it may be) The Muttonbirds‘ Anchor Me seems much more appropriate.
Don McGlashan’s songs and voice have been on the soundtrack to my entire adult life; so I expect a few more will sneak into this project.
Lovely photo Su.

Bit of a Don McGlashan fan myself. Nice wintery pic.

A perfect song for the photo, Su. I had to listen to it a couple of times and can hear why you like it so much. 🙂

I can’t listen now, but I love the photo and the connecting title you chose. 😉

perfect combo! That’s what we need (more): Anchor me! I’m going to tell myself when I don’t see the end of my personal ocean of worries – thank you

Perfect combination of photo and song! I haven’t heard it before and had to hop over to YouTube and listen to the UK version because for some reason or other yours wouldn’t play for me (there’s always some trouble with rights in Germany which prevents us from listening to a lot of music – totally sucks!). Hope they’re not to different from each other?

I’m so glad you like it. I do always wonder when I post videos if anyone will be able to watch them. Maybe I need to avoid the specifically NZ-made clips. 🤨

I think there’s a note placed somewhere next to the video that can inform you in which countries it can be watched, but I haven’t looked out for it yet because almost all countries except Germany seem to have a more easy-going attitude.

I looked for that, but couldn’t find it. I’ll do a search on access and try to find more global videos. 🤨

You do the most beautiful sky and water pictures! They are all stunning, as is this one.

Lovely misty morning shot. Very reminiscent of a place called Mylor Harbour on the River Fal down here. Must revisit that place as it also has a lovely restaurant that we haven’t been to for a while.
(Marilyn is so right!)

Views and a restaurant; ticks all the boxes.
