I don’t know what sort of tree it is, but we have several on our property which all seem to have grown from the spreading roots of the first one. These new shoots were coming out of the trunk of the “mother tree.”
It feels like it. Honestly, if we don’t mow the lawn for a couple,e of weeks, we find new shoots of this tree popping up through the grass in the most unlikely places.
I wish I could grow new roots, too.

This is SO sweet and tender! Here everything is getting brown with the heat and no rain….

Oh no. We hadn’t had much rain until last week (even though it is winter), but now things are beginning to look very green again.

Thanks! I couldn’t tell whether it was a cutting or part of another plant or something else.

😀 I have mixed feelings about this particular plant. Left unchecked it would cover our whole garden and it grows HUGE! 🤔

Sounds like something out of fairy tale – a dark, slightly scary fairy tale!! 😄
