The boy-child is studying digital media at university and recently made this video for an assignment. He’s really proud of it, and I think it’s quite professional, especially as video is a medium I haven’t really come to terms with yet.
He’s taken what was an exercise in using green-screen, and given it a very dream-like feel. The soundtrack song is Call Me, by Korean singer and DJ, Park Hye Jin. I have no idea about the surreal title.

I keep forgetting to ask, and I always seem to have a long list of more pressing things to talk to him about. I’ve learned from experience that he can only handle a few questions at a time.

He’s working on films–Detective Piccachu, Maleficents, and now Sonic. They’re all coming out (or have come out) this year. Stressful work, but he loves it.

Very, very cool—i love how he zoomed in and out from her eyes to the shots on the computer screen to the camera and back and forth. I am curious—what city skyline is that in the background at the beginning and end?

He was very proud of that part — apparently it was technically quite difficult.
The video was shot in Auckland.

Our kids are in a totally different ‘frame’, aren’t they? 🙂 🙂 For years our son has loved his music and videos and worked with different bands, always hoping to find ‘the one’. None of it seems to last, which is a shame, but it makes him happy. That’s all we ask, isn’t it?
