Looks quite crowded.π But very peaceful nonetheless. I’ve never fished anything but for compliments. π And this not very often I admit. But I think I would love learning how to catchy own dinner. And yes, I would also tackle the task of gutting and scaling it. π Obviously I’m no vegan. π
It was quite crowded β there were more fishermen out of shot.
I have fished, though not for trout, and Iβve been spared the gutting since Iβve never caught anything. ππ. It can be relaxing (or boring if youβre not in the right mood). I was tempted to hire some gear and have a try tomorrow, but I donβt think Iβll have enough time before I need to be on the road for home.
I think fishing can be a nice excuse for actually not doing anything and enjoying a pleasant afternoon with the pretext that you’re busy organizing dinner. π I think that would suit me just fine! π (Although I guess, I wouldn’t mind really catching a fish or two, I can be quite ambitious that way sometimes.)
Aww – thank you, Hannah! I’ve been thinking of you. π I’m slowly but surely getting back to the land of WordPress. π Looking forward to catching up with you soon. Happy Sunday! π
yep, we had 3digit F-temps all of the last week and thankfully some much, much needed rain last night. Temp fell by a great deal too – I’m hoping to survive, now!
Hi, Su. Many thanks for sharing your Six Word Saturday and supporting image. Really enjoyed reading and viewing. The image inspired me to write a poem which I will post next Tuesday July 30th. I hope you don’t mind I have used your photograph in the post. I of course have accredited the image to you and created a link to your site. I hope you will enjoy the poem ‘Gone Fishing’ when it’s posted. I have also re-blogged your post on https://goffjamesart.wordpress.com/. Happy Saturday. Have a great weekend. Goff
You are right–they are! My husband mostly saltwater fishes–for that he uses rod and reel. I am entranced by fly lures, though. I think they’re beautiful. Much to pretty to fish with! π
Hehe. I love very fresh fish, and am very happy to spend time to get it. Sadly Iβm rubbish at fishing, and am better off spending my time baking goodies to thank the fisher-folk I know who are more successful.

I think very many people probably fish for exactly that reason. π

Do you think they intentionally space themselves so evenly or it just happens?

I guess it avoids lines getting tangled, and maybe increases the chances of catching a fish.

Hey Su–my husband loved this! Noticed they were fly fishing…..he uses rod and reel. Great snap.

Thanks Lois. I donβt know much about the finer points of fishing, but thought flies were standard for catching trout?

They are amazing. The Lodge where Iβve been staying sells some really beautiful lures. π

Yes: apparently the fishing is still very good. Iβve eaten trout from here β just not caught it myself. π

I have to admit. I have never wanted dinner quite that badly. But it makes a beautiful picture π
