I did!
You are right that I don’t have horses in the back yard, but the local pony club is only a 10 minute walk away from home.
And yet I hardly ever photograph the horses there.
that is good
another message i got was the white one (right) saying “Su, can you grab a quick photo of us – we never get any of us together in a shot”
—
or the white one is saying (leaning in)
“okay – one more photo – because you’re so nice –
but then that’s it…”
Aww – I can never resist those beautiful eyes and soft noses! Did you have an apple for them? My great-grandfather always carried some apples with him in case he came along a horse, he really loved them! His children, my grandmother having been one of them, all got names you would give to a horse back then! π
No apples, though I suspect the horses associated humans with food given how quickly they arrived at the fence. I had only gone there to photograph the light on the hills behind them. π
Now there’s some good friends if I ever saw them.

Oh, wonderful! Did you take this shot while you were on holiday? I know you don’t have horses in your back yard!

Aren’t horses peaceful? They always look happy in their pastures.

That’s true. These two were determined to follow me along the fence-line. I suspect other visitors arrive with food.

Or maybe they just wanted their picture taken for Horse Vogue. π
