  1. Kudos on catching the light at just the right time. Speaking of time, I always feel I’m losing it when I see your Sunday post when we still have a fair bit of Saturday left. πŸ˜‰ I hope your weekend’s been an excellent on and continues to be.

    • πŸ˜€ … and I posted particularly early as we were going to be on the road all day and I wasn’t sure when we’d get home (or how tired I’d be). We’ve had a lovely weekend; exploring the Hokianga Harbour area. Hope your weekend is going well too.

      • I wouldn’t complain either! Always nice to have a spur of the moment time out. We should do it more often. No holiday again this year, though living where we do can seem like being on a permanent holiday πŸ™‚

        • We spent some time in a little place called Rawene, which is very picturesque (though a bit isolated), has a couple of great cafes, a library, doctor and basic amenities and where it seemed that everyone had a thriving garden with lots of lush looking veges and even bananas. I did think that living there would feel like a permanent holiday. Then I remembered how congested the main street gets in summer. There is a car ferry from Rawene which provides the fastest way north from that area, and it is manic for much of the year with tourists. Sigh.
